Welcome to the Bridge

We are living inside structures that no longer hold the way they once did.

The old empire runs on fear, distraction, productivity, extraction. Human life is measured against systems that are never full, never tired, never satisfied.

We were taught to believe that if we worked hard enough, healed enough, saved enough, performed well enough, the structures around us would eventually carry us.

Many of us no longer believe that.

The systems that promised safety are straining.
The systems that promised meaning are thinning.
The systems that promised a future no longer feel certain.

And yet the new world is not fully visible.

So here we are.

Between what was and what has not yet been built.

The bridge is not an escape from reality.

It is a place to become more honest about it.

To begin with what is actually here.
What we can see.
What we can agree on.
What our bodies know.
What our children are showing us.
What beauty still does to us when we stop moving long enough to notice.

We have been trained into separation.

From our bodies.
From one another.
From the land.
From grief.
From wonder.
From the ordinary intimacy of being alive.

The bridge is a refusal to pretend that separation is the whole truth.

There is another way of understanding human life.

Not as a hierarchy.

As a lattice.

A living web of relation.
A current moving through body, story, lineage, land, imagination, consciousness, and one another.

During collapse, there are always firekeepers.

People who keep some part of the flame alive when the larger structures go dark.

Not because they are fearless.

Because something in them is still warm enough to tend.

The eyes still soften.
The grief still moves.
The imagination still reaches.
Beauty still matters.

If you are here, maybe you know that ember.

This bridge is for tending it.

For meeting what is here now.
For healing what is actually wounded.
For releasing what no longer belongs.
For understanding the stories and systems we inherited.
For expanding awareness without abandoning the human life in front of us.

We do not need to know the shape of the new world yet.

We build it from here.

That feels much more like the page.

Then I would put three doors under it:
