Geomancy

A practice of place.

I begin with what is already there.

The floor under the rug.
The stone holding the door open.
The forgotten corner.
The slant of a room.
The object everyone stopped seeing.
The place the body softens.
The place it doesn’t.
The dog bed that needs a fire.

I work with presence, arrangement, tone, texture, color, material, memory, and land.

Sometimes that means uncovering.
Sometimes moving.
Sometimes gathering.
Sometimes making something from what is already present.

I am interested in the intelligence of a place before anyone tries to improve it.

What has been hidden.
What has been overlooked.
What belongs here.
What doesn’t.
What wants warmth.
What needs weight.
What needs air.
What needs to be remembered.

This can happen inside a home, on land, at a threshold, around a table, in a single corner, or through a collection of objects.

I do not come in with a style to impose.

I pay attention to what is already speaking.

Then I arrange.

Home. Land. Material. Memory. Placement.

Dwelling

Rooms, thresholds, objects, light, texture, memory.
I work with what is already present and help the space become more coherent with the life happening inside it

Land

Gardens, paths, stone, plants, found material, weather.
I follow the character of the place and work with what is already asking to be seen, moved, gathered, or left alone.

Arrangements

Corners, tables, altars, collections, forgotten objects.
Sometimes the work is small and precise: one surface, one object, one place that needs warmth, weight, color, or attention.

Money

The world is changing, and the way we talk about money is changing too.

I do not believe every meaningful exchange needs to be forced into a fixed package or a single number before we have even met.

Money matters. Time matters. Material costs matter. So does access.

If we decide to work together, we will talk openly about what the work involves, what feels sustainable for both of us, and what the exchange should be.

Some projects will be simple. Some will be larger. Some will involve materials or travel. Some may unfold differently than either of us expected.

I am interested in creating arrangements that are clear, fair, and real — without pretending that one price fits every person or every place.
